Funding

Making Upgrades Affordable — We Help You Access the Right Grants

Upgrading a home’s heating, insulation or energy systems can seem costly — but with the right funding support, those costs often become manageable or even negligible. At Communitas Energy CIC, we guide you through all available funding routes, help you apply, and handle as much of the heavy lifting as possible.

Government‑backed Grants
& What You Can Get
  • Under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), homeowners in England and Wales can receive a £7,500 grant toward the installation of an air source or ground source heat pump.

  • The same grant may apply to suitable landlords — meaning rental properties can benefit too (subject to eligibility).

  • Where relevant, additional support may be available for insulation, solar, and other retrofit work — particularly in partnership with local councils, or via fuel‑poverty or social support schemes.

What We Do to Help
  • Assess your eligibility and advise which grants or funding streams you can access

  • Complete all paperwork needed for grant applications and funding applications

  • Liaise with certified installers so that grant requirements (e.g. accredited installers, valid EPC) are met

  • Provide a clear cost breakdown — you’ll know what’s funded, what’s subsidised, and what (if anything) remains your responsibility

What to Know
  • The grant is per property — one grant per home.

  • Grant eligibility requires replacing a fossil‑fuel heating system (gas, oil, electric, LPG) with a low‑carbon alternative.

  • Installations must be carried out by certified installers to qualify.

With our help, funding becomes far easier — many properties end up needing little or no upfront payment, greatly improving the affordability of efficient, low‑carbon heating and energy systems.
